The Awards Festival will take place on 15 May 2019.

The festival will be at University College Dublin, Belfield, Dublin 4.

At the Festival you will have the opportunity to discuss your thinking so it is important to be prepared! This is not a formal presentation or a speech.
Rather, it is an opportunity to share your philosophical thinking with students from around Ireland, as well as professional philosophers and the public.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO:

  • Practice briefly explaining your title, thinking and conclusions.
  • Consider any questions which could arise from your work.
  • Talk to people about your project.
  • Be open to “disruptive” ideas and alternative points of view.
  • Listen, discuss and contribute to other people’s thinking in a constructive way.
  • Present yourself neatly and be welcoming.
  • If you are in a group, make sure every member has the opportunity to take part and contribute to discussions.
